Mary McInnes

Mary McInnes was born on 7th March 1857 at 1h 30m pm, at Deveron Street, Huntly. The informant on the 14th at Huntly was George McInnes, the child’s father, entered as present.

At the time of her marriage to George Hendry in 1878, Mary McInnes was a spinster, 21, usually resident in Mid Street, Keith.

Mary Hendry, widow of George Hendry, Inspector of Poor, died on 12th March 1925 at 2h 30m am, at 46, Bentinck Street, Glasgow. Her age was entered as 68. The cause of death was certified as angina pectoris. The informant on the 19th at Glasgow was the deceased’s daughter, Margaret J. Spark, entered as present.

When Mary McInnes was born in 1857, her parents were entered as George McInnes, spirit dealer, and Margaret McInnes MS Murray.

George McInnes, spirit dealer, married, died on 8th January 1858 at eight in the morning, in Deveron Street, Huntly, Aberdeenshire. He was entered as 62 years old. The cause of death was certified as jaundice by a doctor who had seen the deceased on the previous day. He was buried in the Churchyard of Dunbennan, as certified by William Geddes, Sexton. The informant was Alexander Murray, the deceased’s father-in-law, entered as present, on the 12th at Huntly.

When Mary McInnes married George Hendry in 1878, her parents were entered as George McInnes, (general?) merchant, (deceased), and Margaret Shearer previously McInnes, MS Murray.

Margaret Shearer, married to George Shearer, general labourer, died on 8th May 1896 at 4h 15m pm, at 1, Harper’s Lane, Woodside, Aberdeenshire. She was entered as 65 years of age. The causes of death were certified as a malignant tumour, from which she had been suffering for two years, and peritonitis, ten days. The informant on 9th May 1896 at Woodside was Jane Johnston, the deceased’s daughter, entered as present, of 400, Great Northern Road.

When Mary Hendry MS McInnes died in 1925, her parents were recalled as George McInnes, schoolmaster, and Margaret McInnes, afterwards Shearer, MS Murray, both deceased.
