Agnes Wallace’s birth and christening were recorded in the Markinch (Fife) Parish Register in 1815:
Lawful Daughter to Thomas Wallace and Jean Law in Star was born 20 October and baptized Agnes 5 Novr.
At the time of her marriage to Henry Archibald in 1837, Agnes Wallace was
in St Ninians Parish, Stirlingshire.
Agnes Archibald MS Wallace, widow of Henry Archibald, joiner (master), died
on 11th January 1878 at 3h 30m am, at Oldtown, Leslie, Fife. She was 62 years of
age. The causes of death were certified as (hynoptyses?) causing asphyxia and chronic phthisis, although how long
she had been suffering from these conditions was not established. The informant, on 14th January 1878,
was Thomas Archibald, the deceased’s son.
