Henry Archibald Baird was born on 9^th September 1880 at 10^h 45^m am, at Charleville, Uddingston. The informant on 23^rd September at Bothwell was M. B. Baird, the child’s father, present. It is surmised that Harry was named after Henry Archibald, his maternal grandfather.

Harry A. Baird, of Bothwell, was the informant on the death certificate of his brother-in-law John Tennant in August 1911 and a witness at his brother Matthew’s wedding in the following month. He was the informant on their father’s death certificate in 1916, on which occasion Harry’s address was given as Ashfield House, Glasgow.
