                       Kildrummy 27th March 1827.

    Dear Madam

                     We are sorry to hear to-day by a
letter from Dr John Christie that you have been
very poorly but he says your (sic) are considerably better.
You will no doubt think me negligent, I have
not yet wrote your brother but shall not be many
days older till I do so. I have inclosed (sic) a letter which
I have no dout (sic) will be very agreeable to you as it
shews in what respect your brother is held in Jamaica.
I received Mifs Millis’ (sic) letter lately along with gloves for
Mrs R: & me for which we return you our best thanks
but are sorry you should put yourself to so much trouble
& expence (sic) on our Acct. We have to return you also our best
thanks for your kind offer with regard to Margt but we
have not yet determined what to do with her during the
summer. I am much obliged to Mifs Millis for her
hints respecting the manner of writing to your brother which
I shall not fail to make use of. My Aunt & Mrs R:
unite with me in best regards to you & wishing you a speedy
restoration to perfect health, Also to Mr Millis & your
Niece & I remain          Dear Madam Yours Sincerely
