Dear Sister

                      I received yours acknowledging the
Receipt of my last Remittance and was happy to
hear that you was comfortably settled, close to
Mr. Mellis and your Nieces ; I hope still like
your situation and keep your health. -

I have shipt home by Captn. Willm. Martin of
the ship Fortitude of London, some Coffee which
he is to sell, and to remitt the net proceeds to
you : if he arrives safe, he is a very honest man
and I have no doubt will act honourably by you,
he has your adrefs and will enclose you a Bill for
the amount as soon as he disposes of the Coffee my reason
for doing this, is, the premium on Bills here is so
high, no lefs than 25 p cent, a thing never known
before ---- Every thing is quiet here we have the
best of Seasons and every prospect of fine Crops, but
what does it signify, when our produce sells for nothing
or nearly so, and indeed if the Ministry do not lower
the duty on on (sic) Sugar and Rum, the sugar planter
will be curs’d.

Please give my best Respects to Mr. Mellis and
my loving affections to my Nieces and when you
write me, let me have their names, ages and accom:
plishments, also give my loving affections to my other
Sisters and their Families and believe me to be

    Dear Sister

            Your ever Affectionate Brother
