Forebears |
Mary McPhail’s parents were identified on her 1863 marriage certificate as John McPhail, a labourer, and Mary McPhail MS McFarlane. There is no indication given that either was deceased at that time. Both were deceased at the time of Mary’s death in 1919, on which occasion John was more specifically recalled as a slate quarrier.
