John Taylor and his wife were stated to be ‘at Muirhouses’ in connection with the recording of the birth and baptism of their daughter, Agnes, in Gorbals Parish in 1809; the family appear to have re-located to Abbey (Paisley) thereafter.

John Taylor was recalled as a farmer and vintner (deceased) at the time of his daughter Allison Taylor’s death in 1870.
