Mary Watson probably died between 1853 and 1855, in all likelyhood in a common calamity with her husband Peter Watson. She was entered as deceased when her daughter, Mary, died in 1860.

Mary Watson MS Ogilvie was again recalled as deceased when her son James Watson married Jeanie Marshall in 1875.
