Henry Chapman was born on 10^th June 1856 at 8^h 30^m pm, at Bathgate Flour Mills. The informant on the 30^th at Bathgate was Mungo Chapman, the child’s father.

Henry died on 22^nd July 1857 at 9^h 30^m pm, at Bathgate Flour Mills. He was thirteen months old. The cause of death was certified as convulsions, from which he had been suffering for two days, by a doctor who had seen the deceased on the day on which he died. He was buried in the Old Church Yard, Bathgate, as certified by James Newlands, Sexton. The informant at Bathgate on the 25^th was the child’s father, Mungo Chapman, entered as present.
