In this brief letter, Captain Wimberley reminds William Leiper that he
has sent him a copy of his notes on the Gordons of Terpersie, now at an
advanced stage of preparation, two weeks and two days before, and gently solicits a response.

27 Octr 1899Dear Mr Leiper,
I wrote to you on
11th currt and sent you a copy of
the notes on the Terpersies in print,
as finally corrected, and I am anxious
to know how many copies you
wish for yourself : the notes have
now been a long time in type.I fear you may be ill, but
hope that you have only been very
busy.I remember that I sent my letter
with the print addressed to you
in Glasgow ; I forget which mail it
went by, but I calculated you would
get it in time before leaving your office
to look at it in the train on your way
home : if you were that day in Glasgow.I am going tomorrow to stay till
Tues. forenoon at Knockespock, Clatt,
with Capt. Fellowes-Gordon of K. :
I hope to manage to go & see what
is left of Terpersie. On Tues. I go to Col. Gordon’s, at
Culdrum, Gartly, till Friday.Yours very truly
Douglas Wimberley.
