Captain Wimberley acknowledges a drawing of Craig, a further contribution received from
William Leiper.

8 April 1893.Dear Sir,
Our last letters crossed, and
I was intending to write and thank you
for your kindly repeating an offer to
make me a drawing of Craig, simul-
taneously with my having asked
you to do it.This morning, I was surprised to
get the drawing which you have been
so good as do for me, and I fear
at some inconvenience, as you
were extremely busy.I am very much pleased to get
it, and think it will make a
very interesting addition to my
book. I only hope that in time
I may succeed in getting some sort
of sketch of the remains of Les-
moir to send you, or rather a
sketch of the hill with the
ruins of Lesmoir in the fore-
ground : for there is very little
left to draw.I am sure Craig will come out
as well as Drum, and I like
it very much.I am very much indebted to you
for making the drawings.Yours very truly
Douglas Wimberley
Wm Leiper Esq.

P.S. I have stupidly forgotten to
say that I should very much like
to have a similar drawing of
Terpersie, and the more so if it
is getting more & more ruinous.I am writing in a room where
a good deal of talking is going
on.
