When Elizabeth Gray married John Livingston McIntyre in 1912, she was entered
as a boot top machinist (spinster), aged 52, usually resident at 23, South Portland Street, Glasgow. Her parents
were William Gray, shoemaker (deceased), and Ann Gray MS McKenzie (deceased).
Elizabeth McIntyre, widow of John ‘Livingstone’ McIntyre, iron turner (journeyman), died on 16th March
1930 at 1h 20m am, at 1, Maxwell Place, in the Pollockshields District of Glasgow. Her age was
entered as 70. The causes of death were certified as arterio-sclerosis and cerebral haemorrhage, from which she had
been suffering for two days. The informant on the following day at Glasgow was Hugh McIntyre, stated to be her son,
actually her step-son, entered as present.
Elizabeth Gray was born on 14th February 1860 at nine in the morning, at 27, Charlotte Street, in the
Calton district of Glasgow. The informant on 6th March at Glasgow was Ann Gray, the child’s mother,
entered as present.

When Elizabeth was born in 1860, her parents were entered as William Gray, a shoemaker (master), and Ann Gray
MS McKersey.
At the time of her marriage in 1912, her parents were recalled as William Gray, shoemaker, and Ann Gray MS McKerzie,
both deceased.
They were recalled in similar terms when she died in 1930, except that Ann’s maiden name was again rendered
‘McKersey’.
