At the time of the 1841 census, Ann was a dressmaker, aged 20, living in the family home in Susannah Street, Alexandria.

In 1851, she was again a dressmaker, entered as aged 29, again living in the family home.

In 1861, she was Annie, a milliner, entered somewhat approximately as 36 years of age.

In 1871, she was a dress maker, still unmarried and living in the family home, aged 49.
