Elizabeth McQuowen |
c. 1805 - ? |
‘McQuowen’ is taken to be a phonetic transcription of McKeown or something of the kind.
It may be that Elizabeth was one in the same as the Eliza, daughter of Robert McQuowen of Lisnastrain (now
Lisnastrean), who was baptised on 28th February 1805, in which case she would have been a little over 14
when she married Robert Allister.
Whilst by no means established as fact, it would appear that the mother of
Margaret Allister was Elizabeth McQuowen,
who married Robert Allister on 19th March 1819.
